My name is Lindsay and I am your Smart Snacker. Whether I am at home, grocery shopping, out with friends or vacationing I am always Smart Snackin'.
This blog is devoted to smart snacking tips, tools and new snacking finds! You'll also stumble upon the in's and out's of nutrition- from current research trends, to my favorite meals and day-to-day motivational, goal setting weight loss and maintenance suggestions; all based on personal experience and knowledge.
I am a nutrition nut but love to live my life to the fullest. I don't believe in deprivation only moderation. Through my blog I hope you can pick up a nutrition tip, learn something new and/or find motivation to adopt a healthy lifestyle or habit [it only takes one to make a difference]. I am one who is a true believer in "practice what you preach" but life is too short not to indulge every once in a while (pass the cookies and bottle of wine, please)! Along with eating healthy for overall health and well-being, I am a gym rat. You'll find through my daily travels I talk a lot about working out and group fitness...it's because I am slightly obsessed : )
So, why a nutrition and healthy lifestyle blog?
Besides the fact that I am a foodie, I have received my Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from East Carolina University (go pirates!) and am a Registered Dietitian/ Licensed Nutritionist and Certified in Adult Weight Management through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and the American Dietetic Association. My latest endeavour is my Masters in Nutrition from Meredith College here in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Therefore guys, I am here to show you that incorporating a healthy lifestyle in a busy world is in fact possible! So enjoy and become a Smart Snacker with me...
